SOPHE-PRC Joint 2010 Midyear Meeting
Sheraton Hotel, Atlanta, GA
April 7 - April 9
Join us April 7 - 9, 2010 at the 2010 Joint Conference of the Society for Public Health Education and CDC Prevention Research Centers (PRCs) Program at the Sheraton Hotel in Atlanta, GA. The theme for the conference is "Advocate, Communicate and Translate to Enhance Research and Practice."
In the true spirit of collaboration in action, SOPHE and the PRCs are excited about this inaugural joint forum to share scientific discovery and to encourage dialogue and exploration among researchers and staff, community members, and health education and health promotion practitioners.
Plenary presentations and oral concurrent sessions, as well as poster presentations and workshops, will bridge academic study and practical community application of information, best practices, lessons learned, and successes and challenges toward enhancing health promotion and disease prevention. Innovative technologies and social media will be addressed in the conference sub-themes: Social and Physical Environments, Healthy People 2020, Community-based Participatory Research, Partnerships, and Advocacy and Policy.
